Ethics statement
Committed to offering quality higher education at the Undergraduate and (Post)Graduate, level, we strive to continuously improve our career-oriented academic study programs in accordance with the demands of the global marketplace as well as with the guidelines received from reputable American, European and international educational organizations.
Aiming at maintaining and promoting United Institute and its constituent schools’ reputation, the institution’s Executive Committee has developed this Code of Ethics. This Code sets out the standards of behavior essential to the life and operation of the institution across all its activities. It applies to all faculty and team members, including directors, officers and advisors, whether full-time, part-time or on-call; whether employed or contracted; and whether local or remote. Ethical conduct means acting consistently in a way that upholds our values and is honest, transparent, and fair, encouraging others to do likewise.
Our Ethical Standards
We adhere to the highest ethical standards, respect for and compliance with the law.
Every member of the institution must, always, conduct his or her activities in accordance with the highest professional and community ethical standards. Therefore, we expect every member of the institution to become familiar with those laws, regulations, as well as with institutional policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines stated in various documents, which are applicable to his or her position and duties, and to comply with both their letter and spirit.

We are committed to the maintenance of the highest standards of academic integrity.
Every member of the institution involved in teaching and research activities is expected to conform to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. Activities such as plagiarism, misrepresentation, and falsification of data are expressly prohibited. All activity must be conducted in strict accordance with the applicable Academic policies and procedures.

Every member of the institution is expected to exercise the best professional conduct in making reasonable effort to protect the student from conditions harmful to learning and/or to the student’s mental and/or physical health and/or safety. Under no circumstances will a student’s legal rights be intentionally violated or denied.

United Institute is an academic community of over 100 nationalities and cultures. Students are taught to respect and celebrate diversity of cultures and religion. All members have the duty to avoid conflicts between his or her personal interests and professional responsibilities.
We are committed to performing an appropriate Treatment of Confidential and Private Information.
Members of the institution may have access to confidential, proprietary, or private information of various types, subject to contractual or legal obligations of confidentiality. All members of the institution must follow all applicable legal, contractual and policy restrictions on the use, disclosure and safeguarding of such information.

We are committed to safeguarding the institution’s Health and Safety.
United Institute strives to provide employees with a safe and healthy work environment. All members of the institution have responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all community members by following environmental, safety and health rules and practices, and reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe equipment, practices, or conditions. Every member of the institution must perform their work for or at the institution in a safe manner, free of the influences of alcohol, illegal drugs, or controlled substances.
We conduct our business practices with honesty, integrity, and the highest ethical standards.
Every member of the institution is expected to conduct all services and communication with students, suppliers, competitors, and the academic community with honesty and integrity. This duty includes but is not limited to: protecting and preserving the institution’s property and assets (including proprietary intellectual property, buildings, equipment, and supplies).
Reporting Suspected Violations
All members of our academic community share the responsibility and authority to challenge and report acts of apparent academic and non-academic misconduct and violations of this Code. All instances of suspected violations must be reported to the Dean.
All internal stakeholders, including students, faculty members and team members, can report instances through our internal Misconduct Reporting Form on the Student Portal.
All external stakeholders, can report instances through the public reporting form.
The reported violations and their outcomes are recorded appropriately.
